Growing Fruit Trees

Fruit trees grow in the wild and are also grown by farmers in allocated areas known as orchards http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orchard . Orchards are also grown not just for their fruit but for their aesthetic value in large gardens. Fruit trees often have very beautiful blooms and so are nice to have in a garden.

Fruit trees can grow in a variety of climates and certain fruits are better suited to different environmental climates. Tropical areas will grow fruits such as banana, durian, guava, mango and papaya. Sub tropical zones have more success with fruits such as the citrus, the date palm and lychee. Temperate climates will grow apple, apricot, cherry, peach and many more very successfully.

There are many countries that have large regions dedicated to fruit tree growing. In the USA orange and apple orchards are prolific in Washington state and the Florida area is well known for its orange trees. In Canada there is a large number of apple orchards and even has its own area known as Canada Fruitland. In Europe, the Murcia region is a well-known fruit tree area. Other areas of their world have a large part of their agricultural economy based in orchards and fruit, areas that include New Zealand China, Argentina and Chile.
